Q. Do you have other colors or types of leather?
A. We have our new Designer Colors that are "Drum Dyed" , however we are not able to laser engrave those leathers.
If you wish to have graphics or custom text laser engraved we use only genuine English Kip Vegetable Tanned Cow Hide. It is a special tooling leather that allows us to work it and then it is stained and dyed by hand then distressed to give the item that rich, old world look and feel. Each item we make is unique with its own coloring and markings, which is the quality of a work of art.
Q. What is the difference from the other brands of leather scrapbooks?
A. Most leather scrapbooks and photo albums sold are made from what is called "Bonded Leather". Bonded leather is made from ground up pieces of scrap leather and then glued back together to create a sheet like fabric that is about 1/64" thick. It is cheap for the manufacturer to purchase, it drys out which results in cracking or it disintegrates over time. We use only Genuine Cow Hide that is 2 to 3 ounce which is about 1/16" thick or 4 times the thickness of bonded leather. This is the weight and quality of leather used for high quality upholstery on furniture. To get the best value, if you are comparing products, be sure to confirm that what you are buying is Genuine Cow Hide not some imitation look a like.
Q. How long will my custom order take to make?
A. The time in our shop will currently be approximately 3 weeks. This time may vary due to the number of custom orders we are processing at the time. You may up-grade to one of our Rush Order Services. Add shipping time from us to you to this time.
Q. Do you accept Rush Orders?
A. Yes, we offer Rush processing of your custom order on a limited basis for an additional charge. We do this to help you to meet the date of what might be a gift for a special occasion. Also UPS Next Day Air is available to expedite the shipping transit time.
Q. How can I pay?
A. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover in U.S. funds only
Q. When do you charge my credit card?
A. Your credit card is charged immediately when you place your order. Because your order is custom made to your specifications, and is non-returnable. Your order starts to be processed immediately thus please be careful in your design choices as there may be charges incurred for changes or cancellations you make after we have started making your item.
Q. Will you ship outside the U.S.A.?
A. Yes, to Canada at this time. We will in the future offer our products to customers outside the United States and Canada. But please send us an e-mail if you are outside the United States and are requesting that we ship to your country before placing your order.
Q. Will you drop ship to the person I am giving this gift to?
A. Yes, we will ship to another address other than the purchasers address, however only within the U.S.A.. If you are doing this, please confirm the address you are shipping to VERY CAREFULLY. If the address is not absolutely correct, it will be returned to us and you will be responsible for the additional shipping charges to re-ship the item!
Q. Will the pages from my old photo album or scrapbook fit into my new one that I get from you?
A. It is most likely that they will fit if your pages are the two (2) post style and are the 12" x 12" size. However we cannot guarantee they will fit. Email us with the dimensions from the center of the posts and we will compare with our albums.
Q. Where are these albums made?
A. They are made in Beloit, Wisconsin U.S.A. in our own bindery and by people experienced in the art of bookbinding.
